DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE COMPETITION
What is the deadline for submitting a competition application?
The application for the HSBC GRANT competition can be made up to 15 March 2012. The order of the received applications is irrelevant.

WHO MAY ENTER THE GRANT COMPETITION?
We are a large company. Can we take part in this grant competition?
Yes. According to the rules, small, medium and large enterprises with an annual turnover of more than 100 million crowns may apply.
Is the grant intended only for manufacturers? What about export firms?
HSBC GRANT is not specifically intended for manufacturers only. It may also be awarded to a trading company. Likewise, it may also be awarded to services provider or exporter of innovations, patents or the application of the research results.
May a consortium of companies, export alliance or any other association apply for the grant?
Yes, if the application specifies who the members of such associations are and it includes a clear definition of the roles of individual companies within the competition export case.

NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS FROM ONE ENTITY
How many applications may be made by one entity - an applicant for the HSBC GRANT?
One entity (ID No.) may submit only one application with one export case.
When the export case is divided into several distinct (although related) contracts or recurring deliveries, can an application be submitted for such a case or is it important to make sure that a single application represent only one trade agreement?
Regarding the related deliveries within one project export case only a single application may be included. The organisers will be more than happy to help you to resolve specific situations.
If the applicant is a member of a consortium of companies or of any other association of exporters, can they submit their own export application for a different case?
Yes, they can. However, such details should be mentioned in the application.

ACCURACY AND COMPLETENESS OF THE APPLICATION
Is it possible to get advice on how to fill in the application?
Yes, the organisers will be more than happy to assist you. Contact them via email, phone or arrange a personal appointment.
How can you find out that your application is formally correct and that it was accepted for the assessment by the HSBC GRANT Grant Committee?
Each application is checked by the organisers upon receipt who can request additional information or clarification. You will receive written confirmation of the receipt of the application from the organisers.

APPLICATION ASSESSMENT
When will we know whether our export case was awarded the HSBC GRANT? Is there an ongoing application assessment?
All applicants and the public will be notified about the award of the HSBC GRANT after the overall assessment of the applications received by the Grant Committee. The deadline for submitting applications is 15 March 2012. The announcement of the results of the grant competition HSBC GRANT is in April 2012.
The organisers continuously check whether the application is complete for assessment by the grant committee. An incomplete application is not a reason for the exclusion of the application from the grant competition. The organisers call upon the applicant to provide additional information or to provide clarification of the necessary information and provide the applicant with advice for its completion.

POTENTIAL LIABILITIES OF THE GRANT COMPETITION APPLICANTS OR WINNERS
Will the candidate or the grant competition HSBC GRANT winner be tied to the HSBC Bank in any way? Do they have to be their client?
No, neither applicants or grant competition winners are tied to the bank through the bank/client relationship with the HSBC Bank Plc - Prague branch, which is project donor and the initiator.
