The first annual HSBC GRANT ran from September 2009 to April 2010, and the first HSBC GRANT was received by the winner at a gala evening on 12 April 2010 at the Intercontinental Prague hotel.

PROMA REHA s.r.o.,
whose project involved exporting hospital beds to countries of the Arabian Peninsula. The winner received not only financial support but also valuable know-how from the global bank HSBC, which operates in 88 countries around the world including the Czech Republic. A special prize was also given to KB BLOK System s.r.o for its growth strategy. The award was handed over by the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Czech Republic. Congratulations from other important personalities of the Czech and global economic world went to representatives of 10 companies whose projects were chosen by the Grant Committee to be among the finalists (in alphabetical order):
